A Special to look in the affairs of Other Backward Class students and staff of the institution is constituted and functioning in the campus of (SES) Swami Hansmuni Maharaj Degree College of Commerce in accordance with the XI Plan guidelines of UGC.

Objectives:

OBC cell has been created in the college to resolve issues related to the OBC students. Following are the important objectives of OBC Cell:

• To ensure equal opportunities for education of OBC students.
• To aware student regarding various scholarship schemes of State and Central Government.
• To aware the OBC students about various issues and help them to manage academic activities.
• To sort out problems related to OBC students.
• To collect reports and information of Government of Maharashtra and UGC’s orders on various aspects of education, employment of OBC students.

Role and Functionalities:

• To broadcast state Govt.’s and UGC’s decisions about different Scholarship programs.
• To communicate with the students and motivate them for better future planning.
• To deal with representations received from Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates regarding their admission, scholarships, and other similar matters in the college.
